About this product

Inspired by a Japanese lacquer technique called Urushi, this unique eye gloss creates a lustrous glow for eyelids and beyond. Featuring rich pigments suspended in a moisturizing, dewy base, Lid Lacquers can be worn either sheer, opaque (like a cream eyeshadow), or vinyl-like, depending on the shade.

Tips

Glide a thin layer on to bare eyelids using your finger for a sheer look. Use a sponge-tip applicator for more precision or saturation. Note that this formula may crease over time on those with oily lids, but it is easy to revive your look without reapplying. If creasing occurs, simply tap and smooth it out using your fingertip.

Ingredients

DIPHENYLSILOXY PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, ACRYLATES/STEARYL ACRYLATE/DIMETHICONE METHACRYLATE COPOLYMER, POLYGLYCERYL-2 TRIISOSTEARATE, SYNTHETIC WAX, POLYETHYLENE, POLYHYDROXYSTEARIC ACID, TOCOPHEROL, CALCIUM ALUMINUM BOROSILICATE, MICA (CI 77019), TITANIUM DIOXIDE (CI 77891), SILICA, TIN OXIDE (CI 77861).

I love how special these lid lacquers are. This one is black with a tiny silver shimmer. It’s subtle nut you can build it up. This one is my backup’s backup because they sell out fast.

I wear it on the sheer side. I use a syrum but skip the moisturizer for the right balance of a dryer lid so there isn’t an oil slick on my lids.

I haven’t tried it yet but a light touch of dark matter eyeshadow/primer would be a nice bottom layer that adds depth.
