Costly, but exceeded expectations.
I'm half Asian, half Caucasian, with baby fine eyelashes that are naturally light mousy brown, almost translucent. I live in Texas where the heat and humidity make a summertime mascara truly challenging. My lashes curl naturally at the ends, but the center and inner lashes are stubbornly straight, and I've been using a lash conditioner to lengthen my natural hairs. With the Relevee curler (positioned so I'm leaving out the outer half of my already naturally curly lashes) and the Noir Lash Tint I'm able to coat each baby fine hair, lock the curl into place, and it withstands the summer heat and humidity excellently. I've found that wiggling the grooved steel applicator to tightline, then carefully blinking as I pull the wand through works best for me, and I can use the tip to "paint" individual lashes that need a little extra darkening. A comb lash helps for additional separation.
My only wish were that Surratt offered some kind of refill kit with a fresh tube of lash tint and some kind of cleaning/sanitizing product in order to re-use the applicator wand, as I suspect a great deal of the cost has to do with the packaging and applicator. Then again, I plan to sanitize the wands once I've used up a tube to experiment with some of my other mascaras.
Holy grail. I already got 3 backups.
